BARRANQUITAS
Called "Cuna de Próceres" (Cradle of Great People), Barranquitas was founded in 1804 by Antonio Aponte Ramos.

Casa Luis Muñoz Rivera

This museum was the home of Luis Muñoz Rivera and is dedicated
to his life. Part
of the museum includes his 1914 Pierce Arrow (vary rare).

With its vaulted ceilings and expansive porch this house is an
excellent example
of a gracious residence of the time. Now open to the public.

in 1928 by the hurricane San Felipe II. The current church was erected in 1933.

San Cristóbal Canyon
Daily with guide.
Between Barranquitas and Aibonito, this beautiful canyon is almost,
but not
quite, inaccessible. This is Indiana Jones stuff. Some tour operators offer
organized trips.
