Amaury Nolasco
Amaury Nolasco, a
native of Puerto Rico, currently can be seen on the Fox's "Prison Break".
But before he started acting, he studied biology as a full-time student at the
University of Puerto Rico. Initially he intended to enroll in medical school and
become
a doctor, but as fate would have it, he was approached by a director and
immediately cast
in his first television commercial. After several acting gigs, Nolasco moved to
New York,
where he trained at the American British Dramatic Arts School. Classically
trained in
Shakespearean drama, the young actor focused on dialect technique, character
work and
stage presence.
Shortly thereafter, Nolasco began guest-starring on various hit television shows
such
as HBO's "Arli$$, playing "Ivory Ortega" in episode: "The Stories You Don't Hear
About"
(episode # 4.4) 27 June 1999. He then appeared on "Early Edition" playing "Pedro
Mendoza"
in episode: "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" (episode # 4.3) 9 October 1999. In the
new
millenium, he played "Flaco Rosario" in "The Huntress" in episode: "Bad Boys &
Why We
Love Them" (episode # 1.6) on the 13 of September, 2000. In the following year,
he appeared on CBS's
hit show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" playing "Hector Delgado" in episode:
"Slaves of Las Vegas" (episode # 2.8) 15 November 2001. Amaury appeared on TV
again, almost
a whole year later on NBC's long running show "ER". He played "Ricky" in episode
"Dead Again" on October 3rd, 2002 (episode # 9.2). Not to be outdone by the
television
major networks, He played a "Young Manny" on "the George Lopez Show" on ABC
titled
"Long Time No See" (episode # 2.24) May 14, 2003. He also appwared on UPN's
"Eve" playing
"Adrian" in episode: "Love TKO" (episode # 2.8) 23 November 2004. He return to
CBS's network
on "C.S.I.: NY" playing "Ruben DeRosa" in episode: "The Closer" (episode # 1.22)
11 May 2005.
The native Puerto Rican also appeared on films dating back to 1997 such as
"Fall" as an
waiter (uncredited). He played the role of "Cypriano" on The Dukes of Hazzard:
Hazzard in
Hollywood (2000) (TV). In that same year, played "Victor" in Brother (2000).
Between his
TV appearances, he played Hector Auturo on "Final Breakdown" (2002) ... aka
Truth Be Told
(USA: video title) .. aka Turnaround (USA).
He received his first supporting role in a studio film as "Orange Julius" in
Universal's
hit sequel "2 Fast 2 Furious."(2003). Nolasco brought charm to the role of the
rival who
challenges Paul Walker's character in the opening car race. He went on to
co-star opposite
Bernie Mac in "Mr. 3000." and "The Librarians" (2004) as G-Man. "The Librarians"
headline
with stars like William Forsythe, Burt Reynolds and Christopher Atkins.
Currently in Fox's
"Prison Break" (2005) TV Series as Fernando Sucre

He will next be seen in the comedy film "Benchwarmers" which is in
Post-production opposite
Rob Schneider and David Spade.
When not shooting in Chicago, Nolasco lives in Los Angeles and enjoys golf and
tennis.
He was recently included in the prestigious list of the 26 guys to watch in 2004
published
by USA Today, alongside such talents as Justin Timberlake, Ashton Kutcher, Josh
Harnett and
Jake Gyllenhaal, to name a few.
